The Regional Trade Marketing (RTM) Associate is reporting and working very closely with the Trade Marketing Manager. She/he will work in close collaboration with the Marketing and Sales functions so as to facilitate the smooth and successful translation of defined JTI strategies and objectives into effective trade marketing and merchandising plans and programs, within his respective region, whilst ensuring adherence to the Regulatory and Legislative environment of the Moroccan market. The incumbent will be based in Casablanca and she/he will manage the Center Region within Morocco. The RTM Associate manages a key trade program which is the Trade Loyalty Program (TLP) and manages related partners in her/his dedicated region. The RTM Associate is managing the Trade Marketing and activations teams within her/his region, ensuring the good execution of both TLP & Consumer activities, whilst ensuring the development of her/his team. The RTM Associate manages the Consumers programs at Trade level, planning, implementation, deployment, execution, monitoring and analysis. Her/his role is to ensure that Trade programs, and Consumers activities as well as the KPIs agreed upon internally and with the distributor are being executed and met in quantity, quality and time. She/he has to come up with action plans, and look for opportunities fitting the strategies and is also closely monitoring competition activities. The RTM Associate will be based in Casablanca and travels extensively by car within the region including rural areas, as his role is to cover a large and whole territory.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manage the Trade Loyalty Program (TLP) within the region to assess partners qualifications for the program, negotiates placement, assesses quantitative and qualitative achievements. Align & follow up on objectives & payment redemption. Follows up with own team and Area Leads in objectives communication. Manage, coach & monitor closely a merchandising team on TLP extension, placements, upgrading and objectives communication. Own the merchandising team performance and development. Work closely with Sales Analyst on objectives settings & communication to merchandising and Area Leads.

Manage the Consumers activation and programs in traditional, rural and modern trade, in close coordination with Marketing and Sales teams, in order to plan, deploy and execute consumers programs. On-going field consumers supervisors/promoters training and coaching. Organize TLP partners, merchandising and activation teams meetings with the support of the Marketing team whenever necessary. Share and follow up with Marketing on development, production, timely delivery of needed material and incentives. Perform Consumers programs and activations assessment and feedback through on-going analysis in order to contribute to timeliness and quality of decisions being made by management.

Work in close collaboration with Area Managers (AM). Disseminate info to AM to be coordinated with distributor. Support AM in programs and vice-versa.

Gather and disseminate accurate and timely market and intelligence information on JTI and competitors activities in order to contribute to timeliness and quality of decisions being made by management.

Travel extensively & regularly by car around own region including rural areas; role being in major part to be present throughout the region to ensure maximized deployment and execution and to establish a close contact with retailers. Position is based in Casablanca, yet Regional Trade Marketing is also managing regions around.

Provide management with daily/weekly updates in regard to Trade and market development/ evolution as well as monthly Trade and market situation analysis reports.

PROFILE: At least University degree or equivalent (Bac+4). 4-6 years experience in trade marketing. Implementation of consumers and trade marketing plans in FMCG industry / sales & distribution / channel management. Fluent French and Arabic. English is a plus. MS Office knowledge (Excel, Powerpoint, Word) required.
