As a labor and delivery nurse, you will provide critical care to mothers and their babies. This involves coaching women through the birthing process, monitoring vital signs, and administering medication as needed.
You may also be called upon to assist in caesarian sections. Additionally, you will educate new mothers on recovery and caring for their infants.
Responsibilities:
- Care for women and newborns during various stages of childbirth
- Coach women through the birthing process
- Monitor and manage maternal and fetal health
- Administer medications as needed
- Assist in surgical procedures when necessary
- Educate new mothers on postpartum care
