Meat Department Manager

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service to members.
  • Fulfill member orders and maintain inventory levels.
  • Ensure meat department operations run smoothly.

Safety and Sanitation:

  • Maintain a safe working environment.
  • Comply with safety, sanitation, merchandising, and food quality policies.
  • Conduct regular inventories and order meat supplies as needed.

Leadership and Team Management:

  • Lead and train team members on standards of cutting, processing, weighing, wrapping, receiving, and rotating meat products.
  • Manage meat department operations and team members.
  • Hold department meetings to update team members on club policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • A Qualified journeyman meat cutter or formal food service vocational education preferred.
  • High school diploma, college degree, and/or big box wholesale, retail, deli, grocery, meat, and/or management experience is preferred.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities, including managing/supervising cross-functional teams, training team members, and driving and communicating results.
