Delicatessen Specialist
We are seeking an experienced delicatessen specialist to join our team.
In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the presentation and cleanliness of the deli department.
You will also provide assistance to customers in selecting the correct products and answer their questions about deli items.
Additionally, you will prepare and package special orders and party trays, receive and inspect deli shipments, and display, stock, rotate, and store deli products following food safety, food freshness, and product handling policies and procedures.
Your key responsibilities include providing a high level of customer service, answering customer calls and taking special orders, slicing, packaging, and weighing deli products, including cheeses and meats, and ensuring that all products are fresh and meet company quality standards.
The ideal candidate will have work experience in a deli department, prior experience operating manual/power slicers and scales, knowledge of deli products, and excellent communication skills.
