Job Description:

This position involves dispensing spectacles and other optical products to adults and children, working with prescriptions written by optometrists and ophthalmologists.

  • Advise and assist patients with various types of lenses and spectacle frames.
  • Read prescriptions on the lensometer and notify customers when orders are ready.
  • Ensure accurate order filing procedures and timely delivery of sales.
  • Maintain a friendly and positive attitude while addressing customer concerns.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Verify order data entry and compare Rx to original Rx provided from the doctor.
  2. Deliver sales by providing excellent member service in person and over the phone.
  3. Take measurements and ensure correct frame selection for Rx power.
  4. Spends downtime engaging with members in front of Optical.
  5. Adheres to all privacy and confidential/proprietary company policies and procedures.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

Must be licensed to work as an optician within the State and keep license up to date and active.

Knowledge of optical products and business practices is preferred.

A high school diploma, college degree, and/or big box wholesale, retail, and/or optical experience is preferred.
