Optical Product Specialist Job Description

Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Optical Product Specialist to join our team. As an Optical Product Specialist, you will be responsible for dispensing spectacles and other optical products to our customers. This includes verifying order data entry, comparing prescriptions to original prescriptions provided by doctors, and ensuring that all orders are completed accurately and efficiently.

Responsibilities:
* Verify order data entry and compare Rx to original Rx provided from the doctor
* File orders properly under the correct ABC system in the store
* Provide excellent member service to achieve sales goals
* Assist members in making eyeglass adjustments and repairs
* Support Optical Manager with opening and closing procedures

Requirements and Qualifications:
* Must be licensed to work as an optician within the State and keep license up to date and active
* Knowledge of optical products and business practices is desirable
* A high school diploma, college degree, or equivalent experience in big box wholesale, retail, or optical industries is preferred
* Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, along with attention to detail, are necessary for this role

Working Conditions:
This role involves frequent movement on hard surfaces, occasional bending, handling, pulling, reaching, and/or stooping to examine or scan merchandise. Lifting objects weighing up to 20 pounds is a regular requirement, and heavier objects may need to be lifted with assistance.
