Locum Tenens Opportunity for Family Practice Physician

Job Summary:
">We are seeking a skilled Family Practice Physician to join our team as a locum tenens provider at a correctional facility in Massachusetts. The ideal candidate will have expertise in general family medicine, with a focus on addiction medicine and some familiarity with prenatal care.
">This is a great opportunity to gain experience in a correctional setting, where you can make a real difference in the lives of patients. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, 7 AM to 3 PM, with rounds starting at 7:30 AM.
">Responsibilities:

- Conduct daily rounds of 20-30 patients">
- Manage and treat patients in the medical unit, with a focus on detox cases">
- Review patient issues and reasons for medical housing">
- Collaborate with dental team to clear patients for extractions">
- Handle administrative work, including timely email responses">
- Occasionally round on sick patients within specific time windows">
- Provide care for patients with opioid use disorder">
- Consult on prenatal care cases as needed">
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records">
- Adhere to all safety and security protocols specific to the correctional setting">
Requirements:

- Experience with ERMA (Electronic Records Management Application) preferred">
