Spectacle Dispenser

The role of an Optical Product Specialist involves dispensing spectacles and other optical products to both adults and children. This position requires working with prescriptions written by optometrists and ophthalmologists, advising and assisting patients with various types of lenses and spectacle frames, including style, weight, and color.

To succeed in this role, you will need to provide excellent customer service, educate patients on the benefits of available products, and recommend those that will improve their visual needs. You will also be responsible for verifying order data entry, comparing Rx to original Rx provided from the doctor, and ensuring all information entered in the system is accurate.

Key Responsibilities:

• Dispense spectacles and other optical products to customers
• Work with prescriptions written by optometrists and ophthalmologists
• Advise and assist patients with various types of lenses and spectacle frames
• Verify order data entry and ensure accuracy
• Provide excellent customer service and educate patients on product benefits

Requirements:

• Licensed to work as an optician within the state and keep license up to date and active
• Knowledge of optical products and business practices preferred
• Strong interpersonal skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail required
