Spectacle Dispenser

About the Role:
This role involves working with prescriptions written by optometrists and ophthalmologists to dispense spectacles and other optical products to both adults and children. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, be able to advise and assist patients with various types of lenses and spectacle frames, and have a keen eye for detail when handling orders.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Verify order data entry, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Complete order filing procedures, maintaining organization and efficiency in the store.
- Deliver exceptional customer service, addressing patient concerns and resolving issues promptly.
- Take measurements, select frames accurately, read prescriptions on the lensometer, and notify patients of product readiness.
- Engage with customers during downtime, promoting a positive atmosphere in the Optical department.

Key Qualifications:
- A valid optician's license within the State and commitment to keeping it up to date and active.
- Familiarity with optical products and business practices, with a preference for experience in the field.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills are essential for success in this role.

Physical Requirements:
- Frequent movement on hard surfaces, occasional lifting of objects up to 20 pounds, and exposure to temperature extremes, loud noises, and cleaning agents. Use of Optical hand tools to adjust and repair eyeglasses.
