Labor and Delivery Travel Nurse Job

The position of Travel Nurse RN in Labor and Delivery is available for a 13-week period. The successful candidate will work 36 hours per week, with 12-hour shifts on nights. This travel nursing job requires Epic experience and certifications such as BLS and NRP. For this role, applicants must have at least 2 years of recent L&D experience.
About the Role
This job involves providing skilled nursing care to patients in the Labor and Delivery department. It requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and be able to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
The duties of this role include assessing patients, developing individualized care plans, and implementing interventions to promote optimal health outcomes. The nurse will also collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care. Additionally, they will maintain accurate records and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
Requirements
To be considered for this position, candidates must have a current RN license and relevant clinical experience. They should also possess strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills. A background in labor and delivery nursing is essential, with knowledge of birthing procedures and fetal monitoring. Familiarity with electronic medical records systems, such as Epic, is highly desirable. Finally, certification in BLS and NRP is required.
