Job Description

The Meat Department Manager is responsible for leading a team of meat department employees, ensuring the successful operation of the department, and achieving sales and profit goals. This includes managing inventory levels, maintaining proper merchandising displays, complying with food safety and quality standards, and implementing strategies to drive sales and profitability.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Manage meat department operations, including inventory management, pricing, and promotions.
  • Supervise and train meat department employees, providing guidance on procedures, policies, and best practices.
  • Maintain high-quality customer service standards, responding to member inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
  • Ensure compliance with all food safety, sanitation, and quality regulations, conducting regular audits and inspections to prevent contamination and maintain a clean work environment.
  • Meet or exceed sales and profit targets, analyzing data and making informed decisions to drive business growth.
