Family Medicine Physician Needed in Massachusetts

A family medicine physician is needed to provide locum tenens coverage at a facility in Massachusetts. The ideal candidate will have excellent clinical skills and the ability to work independently.
Job DescriptionThe position involves seeing approximately 10 patients per session, with two sessions per day. Providers working 8 clinical sessions weekly can have one day for administrative duties.
The patient population is adults 18 and older, with 80% on MassHealth Medicaid. Preference is given to candidates already enrolled. Board certification and active DEA and MCSR licenses are required.
Support staff includes dedicated medical assistants and registered nurses, as well as other physicians on-site. COVID or flu vaccination requirements are pending confirmation.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide primary care services to adult patients
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests
- Prescribe medications as needed
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care
Requirements:
- Board certification in Family Medicine
- Active DEA and MCSR licenses
- Massachusetts licensure
- Experience working in an outpatient setting
