This role requires a strong understanding of optical principles and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service. As an optician, you will work closely with patients to select the best lenses and spectacle frames for their needs, ensuring accuracy and precision in every step of the process.

Responsibilities
  • Read prescriptions on the lensometer and verify order data entry to ensure accuracy.
  • Deliver sales by providing excellent customer service in person and over the phone, educating patients on the benefits of available products and recommending those that will improve their visual needs.
  • Take measurements, assure correct frame selection for Rx power, and notify patients when their orders are ready.

Maintaining accurate records, handling money-related transactions, and adhering to company policies and procedures are critical aspects of this role. Additionally, you will support members in making eyeglass adjustments and repairs, and provide guidance on the exam fee procedures.

Qualifications

To be successful in this position, you must possess a strong understanding of optical principles and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service. You should be licensed to work as an optician within the State and keep your license up to date and active. Knowledge of optical products and business practices is preferred, as well as strong interpersonal skills, organizational skills, and an attention to detail.
