Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Psychiatric Discipline: RN Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Job Description: Psychiatric Registered Nurse (RN) Program : COVID Series, Booster Required at Submission Overview : Seeking a Psychiatric RN to provide nursing care for a male patient population in a detox and transitional support services program. The role supports men in early recovery from drug and/or alcohol addiction through short-term residential care, offering tools for daily living, goal setting, problem-solving, and self-advocacy. Services include nursing support, case management, group treatment, aftercare planning, and more. Schedule : 4-hour flexible shifts (e.g., 8 AM–12 PM or other 4-hour increments) 20 hours/week , Monday–Friday Responsibilities : Provide 24-hour nursing care to monitor and manage withdrawal symptoms from alcohol/drugs. Record and report symptoms, treatment reactions, and changes in patient safety. Administer medications and maintain medical records. Collaborate with the team to provide health information and support. Assist patients with daily living activities to promote a positive therapeutic environment. Support admitting, discharge, and transfer processes. Participate in treatment team meetings and contribute to care plan development. Qualifications : Valid Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license. Current CPR certification. Experience in addiction treatment preferred but not required. Must be separated from Beth Israel Lahey Health (BILH) for at least 6 months to be eligible. Local and travel candidates considered. Contract Details : Guaranteed Hours : 72 hours biweekly (does not include on-call time).
