Business Integra Inc is seeking a local contract nurse RN Stepdown for a local contract nursing job in Boston, Massachusetts. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Stepdown Discipline: RN Start Date: 06/09/2025 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Local Contract Position: Registered Nurse – Surgical Stepdown (IMCU) Shift: 12-hour rotating shifts (day/night) Schedule: 36 hours/week, every other weekend and holiday required Required Experience: Minimum 2 years of recent acute care experience Mandatory: Surgical stepdown experience in a Level 1 Trauma Center Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) or Stepdown experience Proficiency with automated medication dispensing systems At least one prior travel assignment Must independently read and interpret telemetry rhythm strips Must pass Telemetry and Critical Care Medication Tests on Day 1 Required Certifications & Licensure: Active Massachusetts RN License ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) BLS (Basic Life Support) Preferred Experience: Background in a tertiary care facility Experience with a wide range of post-op patient populations Unit Details: Unit Type: Surgical Stepdown/Intermediate Care Patient Types: Post-operative patients from PACU or SICU, including: Cardiothoracic surgery Vascular surgery Neurosurgery Trauma Transplant patients Number of Beds: 38 Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 1:3 or 1:4 (occasionally 1:4–5 for Med-Surg level patients) About Business Integra Inc At Business Integra Inc., we are committed to delivering innovative solutions in healthcare and technology that improve efficiency, quality, and accessibility.
