Reporting to the VP of Data & Analytics - the charter of Director of Analytics is to architect and implement an innovative enterprise data strategy, driving the distribution and adoption of advanced analytics to drive decision making. In this role you will be playing a key part in aligning our organizations long-term goals with a data-product mindset that champions scalability and reliability in data solutions. Your mission extends beyond conventional analytics, as you'll lead a team adept in the modern data stack, using tools like Snowflake, Databricks, and dbt. Here, your expertise in sophisticated analytics engineering and your ability to translate intricate business requirements into technical strategies that both drive solutions and inform our roadmap will be pivotal. Architect and oversee a unified data and analytics approach to enhance contributions from decentralized teams, establishing a central source of truth for key metrics Develop and manage roadmaps for the central analytics group, ensuring timely delivery, go to market and effective change management Champion robust data governance, incorporating best practices in compliance, security, and Data management. Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing Analytics Engineering and Advanced Analytics team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, curiosity, and data-driven decision-making Oversee team operations, ensuring alignment with best practices in analytics and agile methodologies (CI/CD, sprint planning, code reviews, etc.) Oversee end-to-end development of data products, dashboards, and pipelines using Snowflake, dbt, Fivetran, Dagster, AWS, Python/SQL Guide the team in transforming complex datasets into actionable insights that align with strategic goals and KPIs Collaborate with stakeholders to translate complex business needs into data-driven initiatives and technical requirements · Partner with business leaders to leverage advanced analytics and insights to drive business impact Advocate for and implement best practices to continuously improve analytics processes, systems, efficiency, and decision quality Build strong, influential partnerships across the organization, including finance and operations, driving adoption of the enterprise data strategy Effectively communicate the data strategy, progress, and impact to diverse stakeholders, including senior leadership “ Fuel” for You Coins We offer competitive salaries and opportunities for growth. QUALIFICATIONS 10 experience in Data Analytics, Analytics Engineering, or Data Engineering, with a minimum of 7 years in senior management roles, demonstrating extensive expertise in these areas At least 6 years of experience in people management, including leading, mentoring, and developing technical staff in a dynamic, innovative environment Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Finance, Economics, Physics, or Engineering Expert-level technical knowledge of the modern data stack, including proficiency with Snowflake, Databricks/Sagemaker, W&B, dbt, Fivetran, Hightouch/Census, Dagster/Airflow, AWS, git, etc. Strong background in strategic business acumen, with fluency in translating complex business questions into detailed technical requirements Substantial experience in product management, including stakeholder management, synthesizing diverse viewpoints, and ROI calculation Extensive experience in software development, best practices and agile methodologies Proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages such as Python, R, SQL, and experience with data visualization tools like Looker and Tableau Expertise in advanced analytical techniques, ranging from statistical analysis to machine learning, and experience with large data sets and distributed computing tools A passion for data quality and systems design, coupled with a curiosity about the best ways for teams and systems to succeed and grow Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, capable of building and maintaining relationships across departments and fostering a collaborative, empowering management style Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex data strategies to a diverse range of stakeholders We value passion and potential.
