Description

The Area Sales Manager is a proven sales professional whose energy, focus and determination are matched by well-developed selling skills and people management expertise. He/She will manage their regional area to meet sales goals in unit sales and revenue.

The role will focus on both building a team and growing Align Technology's Invisalign and iTero business. The Area Sales Manager is expected to develop in-depth knowledge of the market to exploit business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Use insights and a consultative selling approach to teach customers about their industry and their customers; challenge them to modernize and grow their business; assist them in implementing digital technology and refine office processes
  • Achieve quarterly and yearly territory sales targets
  • Manage a defined geography of accounts (Orthodontists) to grow the business; onboard new high potential accounts
  • Plan and execute a Territory plan, based on understanding the potential in each account in the defined geography
  • Create & execute account plans for highest potential accounts, based on deep understanding of the account's business, goals, challenges and opportunities
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
  • Minimum 10+ years sales experience with at least 3 years in a people management role
  • Proven leadership capability, strong ownership mindset, and consistent results orientation
  • Experience in medical device, capital equipment, dental/orthodontic or relevant B2B industries preferred
  • Preferably from organizations with strong sales training and development culture
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in French and English
  • Strong strategic thinking combined with disciplined execution; territory and account planning expertise
  • Strong organizational, prioritization, and workflow management skills
  • Builds and leverages strong internal and external relationships; highly collaborative
  • Insight-based, Challenger Rep selling style (consultative, data-driven, growth-focused)
