Mission:
The role ensures the highest quality and reliability of supplier components by driving technical excellence, supporting supplier development, and safeguarding production readiness. Acting as the link between suppliers and internal teams, the STA proactively identifies risks, resolves issues, and implements continuous improvement to secure robust supply chains and deliver value to the business and customers.
Supplier Quality Assurance (SQA)
- Conduct supplier audits and assessments to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor and improve supplier performance through KPIs, corrective actions, and continuous improvement plans.
- Support APQP, PPAP, and other quality-related processes during supplier onboarding and product launches.
- Collaborate with suppliers to resolve quality issues and implement robust root cause analysis and preventive actions.
VA/VE Activities
- Lead cross-functional VA/VE workshops to identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising product functionality or quality.
- Analyze product designs and manufacturing processes to propose value-enhancing alternatives.
- Work with engineering, purchasing, and suppliers to implement approved VA/VE ideas and track savings.
- Benchmark competitor products and technologies to support innovation and value creation.
Supplier Development in Morocco
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers in Morocco aligned with company sourcing strategies.
- Conduct capability assessments and support qualification processes for new suppliers.
- Facilitate technical and quality support to help Moroccan suppliers meet company standards.
- Build strong relationships with local suppliers and industry networks to foster long-term partnerships.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, or similar).
- Experience in supplier quality, VA/VE, and sourcing.
- Knowledge of quality tools (FMEA, 8D, SPC, etc.) and cost analysis techniques.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Fluent in English; French or Arabic is a plus.
- Willingness to travel to Morocco and other supplier locations.
