We are looking for

SQA Engineer

Your tasks:

  • Manage and monitor a defined cluster of suppliers across different commodities.
  • Share and follow RKM claims with suppliers.
  • Lead supplier nonconformity investigations and ensure timely submission of 8D reports and update IQS accordingly.
  • Analyse recurring defects and coordinate corrective actions with suppliers to prevent reoccurrence.
  • Verify the effectiveness of corrective actions and prevent recurrence.
  • Evaluate supplier performance using quality KPIs (PPM, RKM IQS complaints, supplier reactivity) and conduct regular reviews to drive corrective and preventive actions.
  • Review and approve PPAP submissions (control plan, capability studies, material certificates, etc.) for new or modified parts.
  • Request and follow up updated PPAPs in case of product, process, or supplier change.
  • Ensure supplier PPAPs are updated and valid in the system (Voltaira QMS database).
  • Ensure follow up of shelf life of components in the local application to avoid the use of obsolete materials.
  • Collaborate with Project Quality Managers (PQMs) to ensure supplier readiness for new launches /design changes.
  • Monitor and follow up Supplier Change Notifications (SCNs) or Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) issued by suppliers.
  • Participate in the change management meeting with central team: to co-evaluate the impact of proposed changes (material, process, or tooling) on product quality and customer requirements.
  • Ensure all approved changes are validated through updated PPAPs and communicated to relevant entities.
  • Support internal and external audits related to supplier management and incoming inspection & Participate in supplier and customer audits when required.
  • Ensure full compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and customer-specific requirements.

Job Requirements

  • Education: Engineering degree (Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering).
  • Experience: minimum 3 years in Supplier Quality within the automotive wiring harness or electromechanical components industry.

  • Technical knowledge:

  • Strong understanding of PPAP, APQP, MSA, SPC, and control plan management.

  • Good knowledge of supplier process validation and change management.
  • Familiarity with wiring harness commodities (terminals, connectors, plastic parts, cables, seals).

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills (8D, 5Why, Ishikawa).

  • Soft skills: communication, cross-functional coordination, negotiation, and problem-solving mindset.

  • Languages: Fluent in English and French.
