Your Role as an Tooling Technician

• Execute strict preventive and corrective maintenance plans for injection molds, stamping dies, assembly jigs, and cutting wheels to maximize equipment availability.
• Perform precise tooling setups, changeovers, and adjustments on production machines (presses, machining centers) to ensure the "First Part Right" standard.
• Diagnose complex tooling defects (wear, breakage, alignment issues) and perform necessary repairs using machining techniques (grinding, milling, turning, polishing).
• Analyze chronic tooling failures to identify root causes and implement technical modifications that extend tool life and reduce maintenance costs.
• Monitor production cycle times and propose tooling improvements to optimize OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) and reduce scrap rates.
• Manage the spare parts inventory for tooling components (punches, matrices, springs, guide pillars) to prevent stock-outs during critical breakdowns.
• Record all maintenance interventions, time spent, and parts used in the SAP PM (CMMS) system to ensure accurate data tracking.
• Update technical drawings and files following any physical modification to the tools, ensuring the "As-Built" documentation is current.
• Participate in daily QRQC meetings and lead problem-solving methodologies (5 Whys, PDCA) for tooling-related quality or safety incidents.
• Ensure strict compliance with safety regulations (LOTO, PPE) during all maintenance operations and tool handling.
• Train production operators on Level 1 maintenance tasks (cleaning, visual inspection) and proper tool handling to prevent premature wear.
• Lead 5S initiatives in the workshop to ensure a clean, organized, and safe working environment.

What we are looking for

• Technical degree (Bac+2 or Bac+3 / Licence Professionnelle) in mechanical or electromechanical.
• More than 2 years of experience in the automotive industry.
