Role Summary
The Cybersecurity Analyst will play a key role in supporting the global cybersecurity operations by monitoring, detecting, and responding to security threats across Dayforce's environment. The role focuses on maintaining strong security posture, executing incident response processes, and supporting continuous improvement of our detection and defense capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security events, alerts, and logs to identify potential threats and anomalies.
- Investigate and respond to cybersecurity incidents, coordinating with global teams as needed.
Support vulnerability management activities, including scanning, remediation tracking, and reporting.
Maintain and optimize SIEM dashboards and use cases.
- Assist in security awareness initiatives and internal phishing simulations.
- Contribute to cybersecurity documentation, playbooks, and process improvements.
- Collaborate with IT, Cloud, and DevOps teams to ensure secure configurations and practices.
Required Skills & Experience
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity or related IT security roles.
- Strong understanding of network security, incident response, endpoint protection, and cloud security principles (AWS/Azure).
Experience with SIEM tools (Splunk, Sentinel, etc.) and EDR platforms (CrowdStrike, Defender, etc.).
Familiarity with ISO 27001, SOC 2, and NIST frameworks.
- Basic scripting or automation knowledge (Python, PowerShell, Bash) is a plus.
- Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.
- Professional certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH, or GSEC are advantageous.
