The Africa Business School (ABS) within Mohammed IV Polytechnic University (UM6P, Morocco) invites applications for an Assistant Professor position to establish a new research capability in AI technology and its impact on businesses and society. The role aims to explore how emerging technologies (AI, Data Science, automation, digital platforms, etc.) influence businesses, economies, and societal structures.

The successful candidate will contribute to both research and teaching, while shaping strategy and partnerships on this subject. She/he will benefit from a dynamic research environment with strong support from the corporate partner OCP Group, a leading global provider of phosphate-based fertilizers, aiming at driving sustainable agriculture and food security worldwide.

Job duties may include, but are not limited to:

• Performing research at the intersection of technology, business, and society.
• Contribute to research project coordination, funding acquisition, partnerships and strategic development of the activity.
• Contributing to the publication of reports and articles in top-rated journals.
• Teach courses related to digital transformation, technology strategy, or related topics and mentor graduate students.
• Design and lead teaching programs at the intersection of technology, business, and society, ensuring innovative and interdisciplinary approaches to education.
• Contribute to public discourse through conferences, workshops, policy advising, and media interactions.

Interested candidates should meet the following qualifications

• Ph.D. in AI Technology (Digital, AI, Analytics, Data Science, computer science or a related field) with application to Business and/or Economics
• Strong research record in technology and its impact on business and/or society.
• Experience or interest in leading interdisciplinary research initiatives.
• Excellent communication skills and a commitment to knowledge dissemination.
• Teaching experience at the university level.
