Teaching Assistant – Kipinä Nursery
Kipinä Teaching Assistants support the classroom Teacher in promoting the cognitive, social, personal, physical, and emotional development of Kipinä students. They help facilitate activities that build language, literacy, and numeracy skills, and contribute to achieving the specific learning goals outlined in the Kipinä curriculum.
Teaching Assistants assist with preparing materials and setting up classroom activities as directed by the Teacher. They support the smooth daily operation of the class, help supervise children during activities, and offer additional attention to students who need extra support.
They may assist in communicating with parents or caregivers under the guidance of the Teacher and contribute to observing and documenting student progress. Teaching Assistants help ensure a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment both inside and outside the classroom, and may work alongside Nursery Nannies and volunteers as part of the wider classroom team.
