About Mirage Metrics

We build mission-critical AI systems for logistics, mining, construction, and industrial operations. Our work does not live in slide decks or theoretical models. It runs in production, on real sites, with real operators who depend on it every day.

We deploy fast, iterate on the ground, and stay until the system works reliably. Our AI is not a demo. It's an operational tool that must perform under pressure.

This role follows that philosophy.

The Role: AI Engineer

You will design, build, and deploy AI systems directly inside client environments. Your work will touch machine learning, LLMs, OCR, computer vision, data pipelines, and real-world integration.

You won't be optimizing benchmarks in isolation. You'll be solving messy operational problems with imperfect data, tight deadlines, and teams who expect results, not explanations.

This is a high-responsibility role. What you build must work in the field.

Responsibilities

• Work on site with clients to understand workflows and map real operational constraints

• Design and implement AI systems end to end: data ingestion, preprocessing, modeling, evaluation, deployment

• Build and fine-tune LLMs, OCR models, and computer vision pipelines for industrial use cases

• Integrate your models into production systems (APIs, agents, automation workflows)

• Turn unstructured processes into reliable AI-driven tools that save time and reduce errors

• Work closely with operators and managers to validate performance in real conditions

• Own what you deploy: monitor, debug, and improve models continuously

• Collaborate with the core engineering and product teams to push Mirage's AI stack forward

Requirements

Technical Expertise

• 2 to 3 years experience building and deploying ML or AI systems in production

• Solid Python and SQL skills, plus experience with APIs and backend integration

• Strong understanding of one or more of the following:

• LLM fine-tuning and retrieval
• OCR (Tesseract, PaddleOCR, custom training)
• Computer vision (OpenCV, PyTorch, segmentation, detection)
• Predictive modeling for real-world time series or operations
• Experience with cloud infrastructure, Docker, and modern deployment workflows
• Ability to work across the stack when needed and diagnose issues end to end

Language Proficiency

Fluent in French, Arabic, and English. You will use all three daily.

• Comfortable working on chaotic, unfinished, operational environments

• Clear communication with both engineers and non-technical operators

• Urgency, precision, and discipline in execution

• Willing to travel frequently across Morocco and work on site with clients
