Main Mission:

Contribute to the development, implementation, and valorization of applied research and innovation projects

The R&D Engineer acts as a key player in technological and organizational transformation by turning research outcomes into tangible, scalable, and high-impact solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Applied Research and Technological Innovation

  • Design, develop, and lead research and innovation projects aligned with TI²'s strategic priorities.
  • Identify, assess, and test new technologies, methodologies, and tools that foster transformation and impact.
  • Contribute to the scientific and technical valorization of research outputs (patents, publications, prototypes, demonstrators).

2. Engineering and Scale-Up

  • Translate research outcomes into operational and industrializable solutions.
  • Develop proofs of concept (PoC), prototypes, and pilot solutions in collaboration with research labs, startups, and industry partners.
  • Support the standardization and modeling of solutions to ensure scalability and sustainability.

3. Partnerships and Innovation Ecosystem Engagement

  • Collaborate with UM6P research entities, engineering departments, and external partners (OCP, startups, tech centers, universities).
  • Conduct scientific and technological watch to identify collaboration and funding opportunities (national/international projects).

4. Performance and Impact Monitoring

  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for R&D projects (progress, impact, sustainability).
  • Document and capitalize on project results, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Contribute to the scientific and institutional communication of TI²'s results and achievements.

Profile Required:

Education:

  • Master's degree or PhD in engineering, applied sciences, innovation, data science, sustainable technologies, or related fields.

Experience:

  • 3–8 years of proven experience in applied research, innovation, or technology development, ideally involving industry or technology transfer.
  • Familiarity with research and innovation ecosystems (R&D centers, incubators, clusters, etc.).

Technical Skills:

  • Strong skills in modeling, experimentation, and R&D project management.
  • Proficiency with scientific and technological analysis tools.
  • Solid understanding of innovation cycles and scale-up processes.
