About the Role

The Purchasing Analyst will be a key member of the European Purchasing Team. She/He will work with an assigned buyer and will be responsible for:

The corresponding administrative tasks within the Company's systems: purchase order management, publish request for quotations, quote follow-up and validation (60% dedication), the identification of opportunities to improve our sourcing strategy (20% dedication). He/She will work extensively with the Company tools and will also be asked to proactively support the negotiations. She/He will participate in building and keeping excellent relationships with our suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Develop / Analyze Market Data
• Drive the philosophy of continuous improvement into the supply base
• Negotiate key cost elements and service conditions with suppliers
• Identify cost optimization opportunities
• Collaboration and coordination with local and remote team members
• Supports supplier approval and business award processes
• Identify gap to benchmark based on supplier cost breakdowns and Cost Estimates
• Develop and maintain Full-Service Suppliers capable of meeting quality, cost, timing and technology targets
• Implement strategies to meet competitive sourcing objective.
• Participate in the sourcing of parts and obtain cross functional buy-in from the team based on written Commodity Strategies
• Support cross functional teams in supplier re-sourcing actions

Regular activities include:

• Collect and analyze market data and cost breakdowns
• Perform benchmarking activities such as market tests to create / maintain a world-class supply base
• Update and fulfill internal applications, ensure data integrity
• Support sourcing and resourcing approval process
• Utilize / Construct / Maintain cost tables
• Perform supplier scouting activities

Additional tasks include:

• Travel expense reporting
• Tangier Office supplies related tasks (IT devices, computer, printer, and other office supplies)
• Tangier Office Permits documentation preparation and process

Qualifications

Bachelor's or master's degree - Business/Commerce

Experience: 2 years or more in similar position.

Required Skills

Technical Skills:

• Business acumen: knowledge of the automotive industry, its processes and requirements
• Technical knowledge: production processes, cost analysis, validation processes
• Analytical skills
• High proficiency in the use of Excel and data analysis tools
• Proficiency in the use of Microsoft suite including PowerPoint

• Efficient, structured and clear communication in written, phone or face-to-face situations
