Responsibilities
:

Inbound Logistics Management:

• Schedule and coordinate *arrival times* for incoming shipments (farm harvests, supplier deliveries,).
• Verify Bill of Lading (BOL), purchase orders, and product labels for accuracy (variety, quantity, lot codes).
• Prioritize perishable goods for immediate cold storage to preserve freshness.

Cold Chain & Quality Control:

• Inspect temperature logs of reefer trucks to ensure compliance.
• Report non-compliant shipments (damaged, out-of-temp, or incorrect items) and document discrepancies.
• Work with Quality team (QC) to sample/test inbound products as needed.

Data Entry & Documentation:

• Update systems with inbound inventory details in real time.
• Generate reports on receiving accuracy, carrier performance, and lead times.
• Maintain records for food safety audits (FDA, GFSI, HACCP).

Team Coordination:

• Direct unloading crews and forklift operators to expedite put-away processes.
• Communicate with growers and suppliers to resolve delays or issues.
• Train new staff on inbound procedures, safety protocols, and system use.

Problem-Solving & Compliance:

• Address backlogs, equipment shortages, or staffing gaps during the season.
• Enforce safety standards and sanitation rules.

Qualifications:

• Position demands a flexible work schedule; to include Overtime, Weekends, and Holidays,
• Effective verbal & written communications; (English/Spanish) preferred
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, manage multiple tasks, and problem solve in a timely manner
• Must be a self-starter, dependable, reliable and can work independently
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook as well as data entry and the ability to run reports

Education & training:

Bachelor's degree in supply chain, Logistics, Warehousing or a related field.

Experience:

• +3 years in warehousing, inbound logistics, or perishable goods.
• Familiarity with cold chain protocols and food safety regulations. \

Skills & behaviors :

• Strong verbal and written communication skills (English required)
• Proven leadership and people management capabilities.
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• High level of attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving.
