Product Development & Quality Compliance Lead
The Product Development & Quality Compliance Lead is a dual-function role responsible for driving product innovation while ensuring full regulatory compliance across the company's product portfolio. This role leads the end-to-end product development pipeline and acts as the internal and external authority on product compliance.
Role Overview
The position combines:
• Product innovation and development leadership, and
• Company-wide product quality and regulatory compliance oversight
Key Responsibilities
1. Product Development & Innovation
• Lead the product development pipeline for new and innovative products for the Moroccan market outside of the vaping market
• Ensure continuous innovation and evolution of the product portfolio of e-liquids and electronic cigarettes
• Work together with local and international suppliers and brands and obtain distribution rights on their products
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to bring new products from concept to launch.
• Maintain clear documentation and reporting for product development and launches.
2. Quality & Regulatory Compliance
• Ensure 100% compliance of all company products with applicable regulations.
• Develop, implement, and maintain:
o Testing protocols
o Compliance procedures
o Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Coordinate and oversee the execution of testing procedures across all relevant business units.
• Monitor regulatory developments and assess their impact on current and future products.
• Develop and implement compliance plans in response to new or updated regulations.
• Serve as the company's primary spokesperson for all internal and external (including governmental) inquiries related to product compliance.
• Provide regular compliance and risk reporting to senior management.
Qualifications & Experience
• Bachelor's degree in a scientific field (e.g. biochemical engineering, chemistry, or related discipline).
• Strong knowledge of IMANOR standards and Ministry of Trade and Industry regulatory frameworks.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in product development, quality assurance, or compliance-related roles.
• Experience in compliance, auditing, or risk management is an asset.
• Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal proficiency in French, English (minimum C2 level), and Arabic.
