Purpose of the Role: The Senior Project Manager is responsible for leading the execution of complex, high-value, and strategically important projects across Weir Minerals North Africa.

This role ensures that all projects are delivered in line with contractual, technical, schedule, and financial objectives while maintaining customer satisfaction and full compliance with Weir's standards of safety, quality, and integrity.

The Senior Project Manager drives cross-functional collaboration, promotes operational excellence, and fosters continuous improvement within the Project Management Office (PMO).

Key Responsibilities

• Represent Project Management during bid, proposal, and contract reviews—assessing scope, risks, and commercial implications; integrate lessons learned.
• Lead customer and internal kick‑off meetings to confirm deliverables, schedules, milestones, and responsibilities.
• Develop and implement Project Execution Plans (PEPs) aligning cost, schedule, quality, and safety; monitor performance via KPIs, forecasting, and earned‑value analysis; manage change, variations, claims, and risks.
• Drive cross‑functional collaboration (Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, Finance) to ensure efficient execution and cash‑flow control; provide coaching and performance feedback to PMs, Associate PMs, and Project Coordinators; sustain strong customer relationships and capture lessons learned.
• Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviours in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture.

Job Knowledge, Education & Qualifications

• Proven experience leading multidisciplinary, high‑value international projects in engineered‑to‑order or capital equipment industries (mining/process preferred).
• Strong grasp of contract law, commercial terms, risk management, and cost control; financial literacy with practical SAP, MS Project, and MS Office skills.
• Engineering degree (or equivalent); PMP, PRINCE2, or similar certification is an advantage.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills with the ability to influence at all levels; fluent in Arabic, French, and English (spoken and written).
