Sustainability Senior Consultant

Our Sustainability Consulting Practice supports high-growth businesses and institutions in navigating the complex ESG landscape—unlocking strategic value through sustainable business model design, innovative corporate solutions and data-driven impact measurement.

As a Senior Consultant, you will contribute to structuring and delivering sustainability and ESG projects, translating ambitious impact goals into concrete, actionable roadmaps. Working closely with the team, you will help clients integrate sustainability into core strategy, and capture new growth opportunities linked to the green and just transition.

You will combine strategic thinking with operational execution to deliver high-impact outcomes for both public and private clients across Morocco and Africa.

Mission (Purpose of the Role)

To design and deliver strategic sustainability consulting projects for public and private clients. The role supports ESG integration across business strategy and value creation, with a hands-on focus on project execution and client advisory.

Key Responsibilities

A. Project Delivery & Advisory

• Lead specific workstreams within ESG consulting projects.
• Conduct structured diagnostics, benchmark studies, stakeholder interviews, and impact assessments.
• Translate findings into actionable recommendations and strategic roadmaps.

B. Client Interaction & Reporting

• Act as the day-to-day point of contact for clients on allocated projects.
• Prepare and present insights, deliverables, and tools in a clear and business-oriented format.
• Ensure proper documentation and tracking of project milestones.

C. Methodology & Tool Development

• Contribute to LaunchX's ESG knowledge base (indicators library, sector-specific benchmarks, materiality scoring models).
• Support the design of proprietary tools and accelerators.

D. Team Collaboration

• Mentor junior consultants and analysts.
• Participate in internal initiatives: business development support, offer development, learning sessions.

Ideal Candidate Profile

A. Education

• Master's degree from a top-tier business school, engineering school, or university.
• Specialization or certification in sustainability, ESG, or responsible finance is a plus.

B. Experience

• 4 to 6 years of experience in consulting (strategy, ESG, or innovation and transformation).
• At least 1 to 2 years of hands-on experience in sustainability-related topics, such as climate strategy, decarbonization, non-financial reporting, responsible business models, or ESG performance improvement.
• Proven track record in delivering client-facing projects and working in agile, fast-paced teams.

C. Technical & Soft Skills

• Good command of sustainability standards (GRI, CSRD, SDGs, TCFD, ISO
• Ability to synthesize complex information and make it actionable.
• Strong alignment with LaunchX's values, including curiosity, impact-driven mindset, collaboration, and integrity.
• Excellent written and oral communication in French and English.

D. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

• Quality and impact of deliverables (client feedback, internal reviews).
• On-time and on-budget execution of workstreams.
• Contribution to internal knowledge and tool development.
• Team collaboration and mentoring effectiveness.

E. Location

• Based in Casablanca, with occasional travel across Morocco and Africa.
