Petroleum Surveyor/Inspector

Role Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Operations & Reporting Specialist to manage daily and weekly reporting, sampling, and operational documentation for marine cargo handling activities. The role involves close coordination with clients and vessels to ensure compliance with reporting standards and operational accuracy.

  • Daily Reporting:
  • Submit the current stowage plan for the Mother Ship by 07:00 LT each morning as per client format.
  • Prepare and submit weekly operational reports every Thursday using the client's prescribed format.
  • Draw fresh samples from Mother Ship tanks (Upper, Middle, Lower - 2 x 1L each) for analysis.
  • Update stowage plan and theoretical density for each tank after ITT or receipt.
  • Collect individual ship tank samples on daughter vessels post-loading (Upper, Middle, Lower - 2 x 1L each) for analysis and retention.
  • Arrange composite samples for receivers as required.
  • Provide timely and accurate updates on cargo loading/discharging activities involving the Mother Ship.

For each operation, ensure the following documents are prepared and submitted:

  • Time Log
  • Vessel Experience Factor (VEF)
  • Bunker Report
  • Last 3 Cargoes & Cleaning Method
  • Slop Report
  • Notice of Arrival/Departure (NOAD)
  • Sample Report & Sample Receipt
  • Ullage Reports (Before and After Each Step)
  • Full inspection report upon completion of each operation.

6. Inventory Monitoring:

  • Monitor cans stock and provide updates on requirements.
  • Ensure all operational updates are properly tracked and shared for accurate record-keeping.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering, Logistics, or related field preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of sampling procedures and cargo documentation.
  • Proficiency in reporting and compliance with client-specific formats.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work under time-sensitive conditions and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
