Location Overview
Join our team in Amanjena. Inspired by the rose-hued buildings of old Marrakech, palatial Amanjena is close to the fabled Red City, set in its own expanse of gardens and grand open spaces. Shaded courtyards with fountains lead to the central basin, bordered by spacious standalone Pavilions & Maisons, many with private pools. Views stretch across the olive groves and palms of the oasis, extending to the High Atlas Mountains on the horizon.
Role
The Bartender is responsible for preparing and serving beverages to guests in a friendly, efficient, and professional manner. With a deep knowledge of drink recipes and a passion for hospitality, the bartender ensures a welcoming atmosphere, maintains a clean and organized bar, and provides excellent service that enhances the guest experience.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks according to standard recipes
- Greet guests warmly, take drink orders, and provide recommendations when requested
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including tools, glassware, and equipment
- Manage stock levels and assist with inventory checks and replenishment
- In the morning before service, he goes to the store to retrieve the drinks sold the day before, according to Micros' closing times. He is responsible for stocking the drinks in the refrigerator or wine cabinet, paying attention to products with an expiry date.
- Ensure responsible service of alcohol and adhere to legal and hotel policies
- Handle payments and operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately
- Engage with guests to create a lively and welcoming bar experience
- Coordinate with other staff members to ensure smooth bar and service operations
- Possess knowledge of table service and the food menu, including dietary restrictions.
- Actively maximize revenue generation through beverage expertise, food and beverage pairings, and upselling opportunities.
- Assist to the daily departmental briefings Check that all equipment is in good condition
- Ensure that guests are comfortably seated Check the accuracy of bills before and after printing Handle and transmit complaints or other disputes arising during service, and send a written report at the end of the service to his manager
- Follows the guidelines of grooming defined by the property
- Excellent knowledge of the hotel's service ritual "SEVA" & the brand promises related to the department
- Ensure compliance of brand standards and always follow all hotel policies and procedures
- Establish and maintain effective employee relations as well as effective communication across all divisions
- Carry out all tasks assigned by the manager, within the scope of his professional category and according to his skills
- Check your dress and hygiene on daily basis Participate actively in trainings.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Bartender in a fine dining or luxury hotel environment.
- Passion for guest service, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Attention to detail, refined organizational abilities, and a proactive attitude.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multicultural, multilingual team.
- Proficiency in English and French
- Well-groomed appearance and a natural sense of elegance and discretion.
