We are looking for a motivated
Data Science Intern
to join our research and engineering team. This internship offers hands-on experience in building and optimizing real-world AI systems that combine computer vision, OCR, and LLMs for document automation and credit risk assessment.

Your Role

As a Data Science Intern at Talaty, you will:

• Work on
  computer vision
  problems, including
  document processing
  ,
  OCR
  ,
  object detection
  , and
  layout understanding
  using frameworks such as
  TATR
  ,
  MMDetection
  , and
  Detectron2
  .
• Develop and evaluate
  classification and regression models
  for
  credit scoring
  and
  risk assessment
  , following best practices in model design, validation, and interpretability.
• Design intelligent data pipelines for large-scale processing with
  PySpark
  and
  distributed data systems
  .
• Explore and integrate
  LLM APIs (e.g., GPT, Claude, Mistral)
  for document understanding, prompt engineering, and reasoning automation.
• Apply
  data-centric AI
  principles to improve dataset quality, annotation consistency, and model performance.
• Collaborate closely with researchers and engineers, contributing to end-to-end ML lifecycle: data preparation, experimentation, deployment, and monitoring.
• Present research findings and propose creative solutions to real-world business challenges.

What We're Looking For

Required Skills:

• Strong foundations in
  Machine Learning

• Experience with

  and scientific libraries: pandas, numpy, scikit-learn, matplotlib, PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• Familiarity with
