The Role

We're looking for a
Finance Manager
to strengthen and oversee Pikala's financial systems, ensuring transparency, accountability, and long-term sustainability. You'll work closely with the Managing Director, project managers, and HR to oversee
budgeting, analysis, compliance, accounting, and internal controls
. If you love meaningful numbers, ethical finance, and building strong processes, this role is perfect for you.

What You'll Do

Financial Planning & Analysis

  • Develop annual and multi-year budgets aligned with Pikala's strategic goals
  • Monitor project and organizational budgets
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports

Accounting & Compliance

  • Oversee bookkeeping, cash flow, and bank reconciliations
  • Ensure accurate expense/revenue classification
  • Guarantee compliance with Moroccan tax laws
  • Lead annual audits and liaise with external auditors

Internal Controls & Systems

  • Improve financial processes, tools, and internal controls
  • Strengthen procurement and payment systems
  • Train team members on budgeting and financial protocols

Collaboration & Communication

  • Coordinate payroll, benefits, and staff cost allocations
  • Work closely with operations and social teams to ensure integrated financial oversight

Your Profile

Experience & Technical Skills

  • 3+ years of experience in finance, accounting, or auditing (NGO/social enterprise experience is a plus)
  • Strong knowledge of Moroccan tax systems, financial legislation, and reporting standards
  • Experience with donor-funded projects or complex budget management
  • Proficiency in accounting tools (Sage, QuickBooks) + excellent Excel skills
  • Experience improving financial systems and internal controls

  • Ability to translate financial information to non-financial colleagues
  • Skilled in collaboration and cross-departmental communication
