Missions
As part of the Global Legal team, you are contributing in partnering with, guiding and counselling the business operations, by providing excellent quality legal transactional support on Procurement, ensuring that legal risk is minimized and Expleo assets protected. You are providing pro-active, professional, competent, (cost) effective and creative legal support.
As a
Procurement Lawyer
, you will provide high-quality legal support to Expleo's global Procurement function and notably to French Procurement team. You will play a key role in negotiating, drafting, advising on procurement-related contracts and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations , managing legal risks and protecting the group's interests .
The ideal applicant should possess strong analytical, communication and negotiation skills, along with a deep understanding of contracts and private law. You will work closely with business stakeholders to deliver practical, business-oriented legal advice that supports Expleo's operational objectives.
Your Main Responsibilities May Include
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of procurement contracts with suppliers, subcontractors, and service providers (e.g. facilities related contracts, IT, subcontractors, consultancy contracts).
- Provide legal advice and support during all stages of the procurement process, including RFPs, tender reviews, and contract management.
- Advise on procurement-related disputes and claims.
- Collaborate closely with the Procurement team to develop, implement and maintain best practices.
- Support the development and implementation of procurement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with internal governance and legal requirements.
- Conduct legal research and monitor legislative and regulatory developments impacting procurement activities.
General Responsibilities
- Assist in identifying, assessing, and mitigating legal and commercial risks.
- Work with external stakeholders when necessary.
- Contribute to the creation and delivery of training sessions and awareness programs on procurement legal matters.
- Support continuous improvement of internal legal processes, tools, and templates.
You report to the Global Legal Center Director in Romania.
Qualifications
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Law.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a lawyer or in-house counsel, with a strong focus on procurement and commercial contracting.
- Proven experience in international contract negotiation under both civil law and common law frameworks.
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Strong commercial awareness and business-oriented mindset with a strong professional ethic, and the energy, interest and training to pursue a wide array of matters.
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities independently and work autonomous.
- Proficiency in English and French (both written and spoken).
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills, diplomat, able to work and adapt effectively in a multicultural, matrix organization, excellent skills in mastering office tools

- Ability to analyze complex legal issues and provide practical solutions
- Agile player and learner, team spirit and a true willingness to learn
