Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead and oversee the operational, financial and project management activities related to fixed and mobile telecommunications networks.

The role has a strong strategic focus, with direct responsibility for key clients, operational performance and profitability, reporting to EMEA Management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and supervise the operation and maintenance of fixed and mobile network infrastructures, including FTTH, HFC and mobile systems.
  • Act as the main point of contact for key clients, including national and international operators.
  • Analyze technical and operational customer requirements, ensuring effective solutions aligned with business objectives.
  • Prepare, manage and control the department budget, with full responsibility over P&L.
  • Ensure achievement of KPIs related to service quality, network availability, operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across operational processes and working methodologies.
  • Lead and manage fiber optic deployment, mobile network projects and turnkey infrastructure projects.
  • Contribute to the definition and execution of commercial strategies.
  • Provide regular reporting to EMEA Management on project progress and financial performance.

Required Education

  • Degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Industrial Engineering or similar.
  • Other academic backgrounds will be considered if supported by strong experience in fixed and mobile networks.

Requirements

  • Minimum 
    6 years of experience
     in similar operational leadership roles within the telecommunications sector.
  • Advanced expertise in:
  • Fixed networks: FTTH, HFC.
  • Mobile networks: BTS, towers, masts.
  • Network equipment: Huawei, Ericsson, Nokia.
  • Proven experience managing 
    P&L accounts
    , including revenue, costs, provisions, work in progress, invoicing, collections and margins.
  • Solid background in 
    turnkey projects
     (design, civil works, network deployment and installation).
  • Strong understanding of national and European telecom operators (Telco, TowerCo) and international telecom markets.
  • Professional level of English, both written and spoken (mandatory).

Additional Qualifications (Valuable)

  • MBA or EMBA.
  • Project management certifications (PMP, PRINCE2, SCRUM).
  • Experience with network design and management tools (GIS, AutoCAD).
  • Knowledge of renewable energy solutions.
