We are looking for a
Safety Engineer
with 3 to 5 years of experience to support functional safety activities across development projects. The ideal candidate will contribute to ensuring compliance with safety standards (e.g., ISO and delivering safety-relevant documentation and analysis throughout the system lifecycle
Your mission :
- Develop and maintain the Safety Plan for assigned functions in alignment with project milestones and safety lifecycle requirements.
- Perform delta and impact analyses to assess the effect of changes on the safety architecture and planning.
- Define and document comprehensive test strategies, including Integration Test Plans, Validation & Verification (V&V) Plans, and overall Test Concepts.
- Coordinate with partner Safety Groups (SGs) to obtain safety confirmations and approvals.
- Prepare for and participate in internal and external safety audits and assessments, ensuring readiness and supporting evidence.
- Generate and maintain safety work products, including release recommendations and safety evidence packages for the customer.
- Collaborate in cross-functional and cross-system technical meetings to ensure coherent safety alignment across domains.
- Interface with i2/i3 reviewers and other quality assurance bodies; incorporate feedback to secure positive evaluations and compliance.
- Creation of the Functional Safety Concept (FSC) and Technical Safety Concept (TSC).
- Ensure accurate and consistent documentation of safety artifacts (e.g., impact analysis, safety concept, V&V plans) within the ART tool.
- Actively participate in FuSi (Functional Safety) discussions and working groups with the customer.
Your Profile :
- Engineer in automotive technology, electrical engineering, Electronics, Automation, or a related field.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in functional safety within automotive development projects.
- Solid knowledge of
ISO 26262
and
safety lifecycle processes
, with hands-on experience in creating and maintaining
safety plans
,
functional and technical safety concepts (FSC/TSC)
,
V&V strategies
, and
safety documentation
. - Familiar with bus systems such as CAN and LIN, and safety-relevant system architectures.
- Fluent in English, knowledge of German is a plus.
