The Data Engineer designs and automates data pipelines to collect, structure, and enhance information from startups, programs, partners, and events. He/she also contributes directly to the production of performance. Beyond technical responsibilities, the Data Engineer also contributes to economic intelligence flagship projects led by the Division, monitoring trends, consolidating knowledge, and transforming data into insights that strengthen UM6P’s visibility and engagement with national and international stakeholders.

Respondabilities: 

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated data pipelines (ETL/ELT) ensuring data reliability, quality, and traceability.
  • Integrate and consolidate data from the entrepreneurial ecosystem (startups, mentors, programs, funding, events).
  • Participate in the design and optimization of the internal data warehouse according to analytical and reporting needs.
  • Collaborate with business teams to define KPIs and develop monitoring tools.
  • Implement and document data cleaning, normalization, and validation processes.
  • Automate reporting and dashboards using data visualization tools (Power BI, Looker Studio, Tableau).
  • Ensure data project management: planning, prioritization, progress monitoring, and deliverable tracking.
  • Guarantee data security, compliance, and quality according to best practices.
  • Document all pipelines and processes to ensure maintainability and knowledge transfer.
  • Promote a data-driven culture within the Division and the UM6P ecosystem.
  • Contribute to economic and technological intelligence projects related to the entrepreneurial ecosystem.
  • Support the production of knowledge and analysis (sectoral, benchmarking, comparative) based on collected data.
  • Participate in the preparation of strategic publications or thematic dashboards showcasing UM6P’s initiatives and impact.
  • Facilitate exchanges with internal teams and external partners to align data analysis with strategic objectives.

Required Profiles: 

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent fields.
  • Proven experience in developing and maintaining complex data pipelines.
  • Strong technical skills combined with strategic and business understanding.
  • Interest in technology, data, and innovation impact.
  • Curiosity, autonomy, and initiative.
