Job description

We are hiring on behalf of our partner in the technology sector and are looking for a Network Security Consultant to take on the following responsibilities :

Manage the reception of flow opening requests
Handle the compliance and security analysis of the request in accordance with the security strategy
Manage the processing, follow-up, reminders, and escalation of the request
Manage the production of performance and security indicators
Handle the regular review and recertification of rules
Collaborate on the improvement of the network flow management process
Ensure the auditability of the rules
Oversee the associated control plan
Document all remediations performed to ensure they are verifiable
Communicate professionally and report to the relevant stakeholders and clients

Profile required

Education :

Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Engineering , Bac +2 to Bac +5 in network and telecommunications.

Certification :

· Preferred: Security infrastructure certifications

· Preferred: ITIL foundation

· Preferred: Network Security certifications

Overall work experience in the field:

· Demonstrated experience in network / security infrastructure administration > 2 years

· Demonstrated experience in large and complex organisation(s) > 1 years

· Demonstrated experience in usage of ticketing tools

SKILLS & ABILITIES :

· Proficiency in English and French

· Ability to identify risks, threats, vulnerabilities, and associated attacks, including malicious code, protocol/design/configuration flaws

· Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills

· Understanding of the Internet and detailed knowledge of network protocols (Ethernet, 802.11.X, IP, ICMP, TCP, UDP, etc.)

· Knowledge of application/service-related protocols (DNS, SMTP, HTTP, FTP, etc.)

· Familiarity with network infrastructure elements and architecture (firewalls, proxies, IPS, WAF, etc.)

· Knowledge of current security vulnerabilities and associated attack methodologies

· Detailed knowledge of packet capture analysis and associated tools

· Detailed knowledge of firewall management

· Organized with proven ability to prioritize workload, meet deadlines, and use time effectively

· Good interpersonal and communication skills, effective team player

· Common sense for making effective and acceptable decisions

· Willingness to pursue education and stay updated, passionate about IT and information security

· Ability to work under pressure

· Ability to research information and solve unknown problems

· Diplomacy in interactions with other parties

· Ability to function effectively in a matrix structure

· Intercultural sensitivity and flexibility
