Main Skills:
- Electromechanical system integrationAbility to integrate motors, sensors, wiring, mechanical assemblies, and control boards into complete working systems.
- Stepper and servo motor systemsUnderstanding of stepper motors, motor drivers, belts, lead screws, encoders, and motion calibration.
- Basic electronics and wiringKnowledge of power supplies, connectors, cable routing, grounding, fuses, sensors, and safety circuits.
- CAD and mechanical assemblyAbility to read, understand, and modify mechanical drawings, assemblies, brackets, mounts, and fixtures.
- Troubleshooting and diagnosticsAbility to detect and solve problems related to motion, heating, extrusion, wiring, sensors, and mechanical alignment.
- Maintenance and production reliabilityUnderstanding of machine repeatability, preventive maintenance, serviceability, and production-floor reliability.
Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Support the development and improvement of 3D printer hardware systems.
- Integrate motors, sensors, wiring, mechanical parts, and control electronics.
- Improve printer reliability by reducing failures in motion, heating, calibration, and wiring.
- Support printer farm operations and ensure machines run consistently.
- Prepare technical documentation for assembly, calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Work closely with mechanical, embedded, software, and production teams.
Typical Tasks:
- Assemble and test printer modules such as gantries, extruders, heated beds, toolheads, and enclosures.
- Diagnose printer issues such as skipped steps, homing errors, heater faults, sensor failures, and wiring problems.
- Perform printer calibration, including bed leveling, belt tensioning, step/mm calibration, and extrusion tuning.
- Modify hardware prototypes such as brackets, cable paths, cooling ducts, mounts, and sensor positions.
- Run endurance and reliability tests on printers.
- Prepare maintenance procedures for cleaning, lubrication, nozzle replacement, belt inspection, and connector checks.
Requirements:
- Candidates should have hands-on experience with 3D printing or similar hardware systems.
- Candidate should be comfortable troubleshooting technical problems, documenting their work clearly, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and working in an iterative development environment.
The ideal candidates should also understand that our focus is not only on prototyping, but also on building reliable systems that can operate consistently across printer farms and production environments
