We are currently looking for a highly motivated Plant Manager to join our Manufacturing Department, one of the key functions responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of our future production plant.
The Plant Manager will be responsible for overseeing the overall plant operations, including production management, EHS performance, operational efficiency, continuous improvement, quality, cost control, and workforce development. The role is essential in ensuring safe and stable production while achieving the plant's operational, productivity, quality, and delivery targets.
The selected candidate will have the opportunity to participate in business trips to China, working closely with TINCI's teams and gaining direct exposure to our production operations, manufacturing practices, management systems, and industrial processes. These international business trips will also support close collaboration between the Morocco plant and TINCI's operations in China.
Position Overview
This role is part of the Manufacturing Department and plays a key role in ensuring the safe, stable, efficient, and continuous operation of the plant.
The Plant Manager is responsible for:
• Ensuring safe and environmentally compliant plant operations
• Managing overall production activities and ensuring on-time delivery
• Improving production capacity, product quality, and operational efficiency
• Reducing production costs through continuous improvement initiatives
• Supporting the transfer of R&D projects and new technologies into large-scale production
• Developing the manufacturing organization and strengthening team capabilities
• Collaborating closely with TINCI teams in China through international business trips Main Responsibilities 1. Plant Safety, EHS & Environmental Management Lead and organize the plant's safety, health, and environmental protection activities to ensure safe, compliant, and controlled operations.
• Ensure that plant production activities are conducted safely and remain under effective operational control
• Ensure compliance with applicable environmental protection requirements and company standards
• Lead the effective implementation and continuous operation of the plant's EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) management system
• Establish and continuously improve plant safety and environmental standards, procedures, and practices
• Identify operational risks and implement appropriate preventive and corrective actions
• Promote a strong safety culture across all manufacturing activities
• Monitor EHS performance and ensure that corrective actions are effectively implemented 2. Production Operations & Delivery Management Organize and manage the production activities of the plant to ensure stable operations and achieve production and delivery targets.
• Coordinate the production operations of different production lines and manufacturing areas
• Ensure production plans are effectively implemented and production targets are achieved
• Monitor production performance, capacity, efficiency, and operational constraints
• Ensure products are delivered according to planned schedules and customer requirements
• Coordinate closely with Production, Quality, Equipment, Process Engineering, EHS, Supply Chain, and other relevant departments
• Identify and resolve production bottlenecks and operational issues
• Ensure stable and continuous plant operations 3. Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement Lead initiatives aimed at improving plant productivity, production capacity, quality, and cost efficiency.
• Identify opportunities to increase the production capacity of each production line
• Drive initiatives to reduce production costs and improve operational efficiency
• Improve product quality and production yield through systematic problem solving
• Monitor production performance indicators and implement improvement actions
• Promote continuous improvement methodologies and operational excellence across the plant
• Analyze production losses, downtime, waste, and process inefficiencies and develop improvement plans
• Establish and monitor appropriate operational KPIs to measure plant performance 4. R&D Project Transfer & New Production Line Commissioning Participate in the evaluation and industrialization of R&D projects and support the transition from pilot-scale development to large-scale production.
• Participate in the technical and operational evaluation of R&D small-scale and pilot-scale projects
• Assess production conditions and operational requirements for transferring R&D results to large-scale manufacturing
• Coordinate trial production and industrialization activities for new products and processes
• Support the commissioning and ramp-up of new production lines
• Coordinate with R&D, Process Engineering, Equipment Engineering, Quality, and Production teams during the industrialization phase
• Identify operational risks and improvement opportunities during trial production and commissioning
• Ensure a smooth transition from development to stable large-scale production 5. Manufacturing Organization & Team Development Build and develop a high-performing manufacturing organization capable of supporting the plant's long-term growth.
• Lead workforce planning and organizational development within the Manufacturing Department
• Review and propose appropriate staffing and personnel allocation based on production requirements
• Support recruitment, onboarding, training, and development of manufacturing employees
• Establish and continuously improve training programs and competency development plans
• Participate in performance evaluation and development of subordinate teams
• Develop the professional capabilities and technical expertise of manufacturing personnel
• Promote teamwork, accountability, discipline, and continuous improvement within the organization
• Support the development and retention of key employees 6. Plant Management Systems & Performance Management Lead the development and implementation of effective plant management systems and ensure their consistent application.
• Develop and improve plant management procedures, standards, and operational systems
• Ensure that established management systems are effectively implemented across the plant
• Monitor operational performance against annual and strategic objectives
• Establish appropriate management routines, reporting mechanisms, and performance indicators
• Coordinate cross-functional actions to achieve plant-level objectives
• Report plant operational performance, major issues, risks, and improvement plans to the General Manager 7. Cross-functional & International Collaboration Work closely with TINCI's teams in Morocco and China to ensure effective coordination of manufacturing activities and operational standards.
• Maintain regular communication with relevant teams at TINCI's headquarters and other operations in China
• Participate in international business trips to China when required
• Support the exchange of manufacturing knowledge, operational practices, and technical expertise between Morocco and China
• Contribute to the alignment of plant management practices and operational standards across TINCI's international operations
• Support the General Manager in addressing key operational and strategic matters 8. Other Responsibilities
• Support the General Manager in the overall management and development of the plant
• Participate in strategic and operational decision-making related to manufacturing activities
• Take ownership of assigned improvement projects and cross-functional initiatives
• Complete other tasks and projects assigned by the General Manager Profile Requirements Education & Background State Engineer degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Industrial Engineering Strong understanding of industrial manufacturing operations, production management, EHS requirements, and plant performance management. Technical & Management Skills
• Strong knowledge of industrial production and manufacturing management
• Good understanding of EHS management systems and industrial safety requirements
• Knowledge of production planning, capacity management, and operational performance monitoring
• Understanding of quality management and continuous improvement methodologies
• Familiarity with production KPIs, cost management, yield improvement, and efficiency optimization
• Knowledge of industrial commissioning and production ramp-up processes
• Strong understanding of plant management systems and operational procedures
• Good command of Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to analyze operational data and make data-driven decisions Experience
• 5+ years of professional experience in manufacturing, plant operations, production management, or a related industrial environment
• Previous experience in a Plant Manager, Production Manager, Manufacturing Manager, or senior Operations role is preferred
• Experience managing production teams and cross-functional industrial projects
• Experience in plant commissioning, production ramp-up, or new factory start-up is an advantage
• Experience in chemical, pharmaceutical, battery materials, energy, or other process manufacturing industries is highly valued

• Knowledge of electrolyte manufacturing processes or lithium-ion battery materials is an advantage
• Experience with large-scale production ramp-up and capacity expansion
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, TPM, or other continuous improvement methodologies
• Experience implementing EHS, quality, and manufacturing management systems
• International work experience or regular business travel experience, particularly with China-based operations, is considered a plus
• Professional certifications related to manufacturing, EHS, Lean Six Sigma, quality, or industrial management are considered an advantage
