If so, let's start the conversation Job Summary Iron Mountain is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our Morocco Finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day financial operations, executing accurate monthly local accounting, and maintaining a robust internal control and reporting environment. You will join a collaborative and transforming local finance team dedicated to driving the financial health of our Morocco operations while partnering with cross-functional stakeholders inside and outside the company. What You’ll Do In this role, you will:
• Manage End-to-End Financial Transactions: Execute day-to-day accounting operations, including booking supplier invoices using three-way matching (Purchase Orders, Goods Received Notes, and Invoices), performing vendor reconciliations, handling cash settlements, processing payments, and preparing monthly bank and balance sheet reconciliations with a focus on high-risk accounts.
• Collaborate Across Functions and External Partners: Partner with the procurement leader to maintain the purchasing application, support local management requests, and collaborate closely with banking partners, external auditors, and tax consultants to ensure smooth cash flow operations and reporting.
• Ensure Regulatory and Process Compliance: Prepare monthly and quarterly tax returns, manage vendor withholding certificates, and support periodic audits and tax inspections to ensure the country’s Procurement-to-Pay processes, banking Delegation of Authority, and Know Your Customer documentation comply with local laws and Group requirements. What You’ll Bring The ideal candidate will have:
• Strong technical knowledge of dual accounting standards, including Moroccan Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), United States GAAP, and Morocco Taxation.
• Proven ability in preparing statutory accounts, navigating complex Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, and conducting independent financial problem-solving.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills in English, with a demonstrated ability to manage diverse stakeholder relationships smoothly.
• A University degree in Commerce alongside foundational double-entry bookkeeping and month-end accounts preparation experience.
