National UNV Assignment
- Morocco Context The World Health Organization (WHO) works with the Government of Morocco to strengthen the health system and advance Universal Health Coverage through four strategic priorities: improving access to quality health services, reducing health inequities, strengthening public health programmes, and enhancing health governance and security. WHO also supports Morocco’s efforts to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals by addressing social and environmental determinants of health and promoting more resilient and inclusive health systems. This assignment supports the operational and administrative functions of the WHO Country Office, contributing to the efficient implementation of health programmes and ensuring effective coordination, travel management, procurement, documentation, and event organization. Description of duties Process travel requests through WHO corporate systems (GSM/BMS), including visas, security clearances, flight bookings, accommodation, and mission follow-up. Receive visitors, manage telephone inquiries, and provide information or direct requests to the appropriate staff members. Support procurement and contract management processes, including requisitions, monitoring deliverables, and processing payments. Liaise with staff, contractors, and service providers to resolve administrative and operational issues. Maintain electronic filing systems, databases, and reference materials to ensure proper information management. Monitor incoming correspondence, track actions and deadlines, and ensure timely follow-up on pending matters. Provide administrative and logistical support for meetings, workshops, seminars, and virtual events, including preparation of documentation and communications. Brief colleagues on office procedures and provide back-up support to administrative team members when required. Participate in field visits and other operational activities as needed. Entitlements for UN Volunteers: 1. Pre-assignment Entry lump sum: USD 350 Relocation costs: USD 175 at the beginning and end of the assignment, if the duty station is outside commuting distance (as determined by UNV) 2. During Assignment Volunteer Living Allowance (VLA): MAD 13,179.16 per month Learning: Access to UNV’s learning and career development resources Annual leave: 2.5 days per month Insurance: Comprehensive coverage for health, life, and malicious acts for the UN Volunteer, as well as health insurance for up to three eligible dependents (subject to eligibility criteria as per the Conditions of Service) 3. End of Assignment Exit lump sum: USD 120 per month served, payable upon successful completion of the assignment Profile requirements Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Logistics, Project Management, or a related field. Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in administration, operations, logistics, programme support, or office management. Excellent drafting, communication, and reporting skills. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders in multicultural environments. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, email, internet tools, and database management systems. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines. Ability to work independently, demonstrate initiative, and adapt to changing operational needs. Interest in health, sustainable development, volunteerism, and the United Nations system. Fluency in French and English required; working knowledge of Arabic is an asset. Application deadline is on 18 September 2026
