About The Role
Africa50 is a pan-African infrastructure investment platform dedicated to closing the infrastructure gap through private investment in African projects. This role sits within the Finance department, reporting to the Portfolio Performance Manager and supporting the broader Portfolio team. The position is open at both Analyst and Senior Analyst level (4-7 years of experience) and focuses on valuation, portfolio monitoring, and performance reporting across Africa50's active investments.
Key responsibilities
Perform and review valuations using DCF, market multiples, transaction approach, and other models Compile and review documentation for comparable company assumptions and evaluate cost of capital using CAPM Analyse value creation drivers contributing to valuation changes and manage databases for portfolio financials and KPIs Monitor and review financial and operational performance of investments Prepare periodic valuation and performance reporting for Management and the Board Support internal and external audit processes Analyse portfolio trends, investment return drivers, and macroeconomic factors affecting investments Assist in selecting tools and technology for data management and reporting Key requirements 4-7 years of relevant experience in private equity, transaction services, valuations, financial analysis, or a related role University degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field Demonstrated academic excellence Nice to have Experience In Emerging Markets, With Africa Preferred Knowledge of business intelligence solutions such as Capital IQ or Bloomberg Living experience in emerging countries Apply via the official Africa50 careers page.
