Job Description
Job Summary We are looking for a Consultant to act as primary day-to-day technical contact for one of the company's largest and most strategically important managed-services customers — a tier-1 international grocery retailer in Spain — based locally in Barcelona. The consultant carries extensive knowledge of the customer's production environment, business processes, operational procedures, and customer-specific GOLD implementations, is a Control-M workload-automation expert, and coordinates production changes, deployments, and new store and DC openings while minimizing business risk. Spanish language proficiency and local presence for meetings, workshops, and production support are operational requirements of the account.

Key Responsibilities
Account Operations Act as primary day-to-day technical contact for the account, working with customer technical teams, business users, and project stakeholders. Ensure smooth production operations and rapid issue resolution against customer-specific GOLD configurations and business processes. Coordinate production changes, deployments, and maintenance activities while minimizing business risk. Workload Automation & Batch (Control-M) Operate enterprise workload automation on Control-M: batch scheduling, workflow management, job dependencies, calendars, failure recovery. Oversee Night Batch execution and production operations. Store & DC Openings Coordinate production readiness for new store and distribution-center openings on the account. Local Engagement & Coordination Provide local on-site presence in Barcelona for customer meetings, workshops, and production support, strengthening the long-term relationship. Communicate with customer teams in Spanish, eliminating language barriers and accelerating resolution. Coordinate complex technical activities with Managed Services, project teams, Cloud Operations, and R&D. Qualifications 5+ years of production support / operations experience on enterprise retail systems. Deep single-account expertise on a tier-1 international grocer: production environment, business processes, operational procedures, and customer-specific GOLD implementations. Control-M expertise: enterprise workload automation, batch scheduling, workflow management, dependencies, calendars, failure recovery. SCM-platform production support knowledge (Symphony GOLD or equivalent renowned, market-referenceable solution) including Night Batch execution and operational processes. Production-readiness coordination experience for new store and DC openings. Spanish language proficiency is a must-have for direct customer communication. Barcelona-based (or relocatable) local presence for on-site engagement — an operational requirement of the account. Strong understanding of production monitoring, incident management, and operational support processes. Fluent English. Preferred Qualifications Monitoring platform exposure (e.g., Centreon). Scandinavian language/market background for Nordic account backup. Experience in two-in-a-box coverage models.
