We are currently looking for a
Planning Engineer
to join our
Norm Fasteners Morocco
team in
Tangier
. As a
Planning Engineer
, you will responsible for developing an optimal production plan in line with company strategies and available resources, in collaboration with relevant departments such as Sales, Planning, Production, and Purchasing.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Master’s degree (Bac+5) in Industrial Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related engineering field,
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Planning, preferably within the automotive or fasteners industry,
- Solid knowledge of production planning, capacity management, and manufacturing processes,
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, organizational, and decision-making skills,
- Ability to effectively prioritize multiple tasks and manage changing production requirements,
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills,
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel; experience with ERP/MRP systems is an advantage,
- Fluency in French and English,
- Currently residing in or willing to work in Tangier, Morocco. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Create and maintain daily and weekly production plans based on customer requirements, delivery deadlines, production capacity, machine efficiencies, and available resources,
- Analyze production requirements, capacity, material availability, and operational constraints to ensure feasible and efficient production plans,
- Ensure that production plans are clearly communicated to the relevant production units and monitor their implementation,
- Monitor production progress and track planned versus actual production performance,
- Identify potential delays, bottlenecks, and deviations from the production plan, and take the necessary corrective actions,
- Monitor and follow up on delayed products and coordinate with relevant departments to minimize delivery risks,
- Ensure the timely completion of customer orders in line with agreed delivery dates,
- Coordinate closely with Sales, Production, Purchasing, Quality, and other relevant departments to ensure alignment between customer demand and production capabilities,
- Prepare and manage production plans for special project and customer-specific orders,
- During the new product launch process, evaluate product requirements, machine capacity, production constraints, and resource availability during the proposal phase, and represent the Planning Department in relevant meetings,
- Plan and follow up on the actions defined by the Quality Department for products affected by quality issues, taking production and delivery requirements into consideration,
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at increasing production efficiency, optimizing capacity utilization, and improving on-time delivery performance,
- Participate in periodic production and planning meetings, providing relevant data, analysis, and recommendations,
- Participate in company projects and improvement initiatives in line with the company’s quality, operational excellence, and customer satisfaction objectives.
