Job Description
As a Property Management, you will support the day-to-day operations of a residential property management team. This role requires someone with hands-on property management experience who can confidently communicate with tenants and prospects, assist with leasing operations, and provide administrative support with minimal training. Requirements
- Previous hands-on experience in property management is required; customer service experience alone is not sufficient.
- Fluency in both English and French, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience using AppFolio or the ability to quickly learn property management software through prior experience with similar platforms.
- Strong understanding of multifamily property management terminology, leasing processes, tenant relations, and property management operations.
- Excellent phone communication skills with the confidence to interact professionally with tenants, prospects, and vendors.
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision and quickly adapt to new processes.
- Reliable internet connection and professional remote work setup. Responsibilities
- Handle tenant and prospective resident communications through phone, email, and other communication channels while providing professional and timely support.
- Assist with leasing activities, lease renewals, delinquency follow-ups, and maintenance coordination.
- Respond to inquiries from prospective tenants, schedule property tours, and support the leasing process from initial inquiry through move-in.
- Utilize your personal Facebook account to market available properties, respond to inquiries, engage with prospective tenants, and schedule property tours.
- Manage daily property management tasks within AppFolio, including updating tenant records, tracking communications, and supporting operational workflows.
- Provide administrative support to the Property Manager by maintaining accurate records, processing documentation, and coordinating day-to-day property management activities.
- Collaborate with internal team members, vendors, and tenants to ensure maintenance requests and operational issues are resolved efficiently.
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure all property management records are organized and up to date. Successful candidates for this role are expected to possess the following attributes:
- Must have excellent English communication skills.
- Has the ability to complete projects in a timely manner and quickly adjust to changing circumstances and embrace new technologies, processes, or methods.
- Great logical and verbal reasoning skills.
- Exceptionally detail-oriented.
- Exceptional problem-solving and information-processing skills.
- Ability to think outside the box.
- A great work ethic and interest in learning new concepts and growing with the job.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Must have their own work device (preferably a desktop or laptop) and a stable internet connection.
- Must be comfortable with using a time-tracking software for payroll purposes.
- Must be willing to undergo a background verification check during the final stages of the hiring process. Successful candidates for this role will be rewarded with the following
