At UN Women, we are committed to achieving gender equality and empowering women in all aspects of life. As a Programme Analyst, you will play a crucial role in supporting our mission by providing technical expertise and guidance on programme design, implementation, and evaluation.

About the Role

The Programme Analyst will contribute to the effective management of UN Women programmes in Morocco, providing substantive inputs to programme design, formulation, implementation, and evaluation. The successful candidate will work closely with the programme and operations team, government officials, donors, and civil society to ensure successful programme implementation.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Provide technical support to programme development and implementation, including reviewing and revising programme documents, coordinating with implementing partners, and monitoring progress against programme goals and objectives.

  2. Support the development of programme strategies, including conducting needs assessments, identifying programme areas for support, and developing programme proposals and initiatives.

  3. Contribute to the development of knowledge products, including reports, briefs, and presentations, related to gender-sensitive governance and other programme areas.

  4. Collaborate with programme staff and partners to identify areas for capacity building and provide training and technical assistance as needed.

  5. Monitor and evaluate programme progress, including tracking financial and narrative reports from implementing partners and preparing donor and UN Women reports.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Master's degree or equivalent in social sciences, human rights, gender/women's studies, international development, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of progressively responsible work experience in development programme/project implementation, coordination, monitoring, and evaluation, donor reporting, and capacity building.
  • Experience in the usage of computers and office software packages (MS Word, Excel, etc.) and spreadsheet and database packages.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, as well as strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
  • Familiarity with Results-Based Management and UN system procedures and policies is an asset.
