Regional Director

We are seeking a highly experienced Regional Director to lead our efforts in Northern Africa. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for formulating and implementing the substantive work programme of the Sub Regional Office for Northern Africa (SRO-NA).

• Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve structural transformation and balanced development in North Africa.
• Oversee the management of activities undertaken by SRO-NA, ensuring timely completion and coordination with Headquarters and other UN System organizations.
• Provide intellectual, technical, and managerial vision and leadership for the SRO-NA.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A Master's or Doctorate degree in economics, social sciences, development management, or a related area.
• A minimum of fifteen years of progressively responsible experience in economic research, management, and analysis of socio-economic development issues.
• Experience in leading a team of specialists in an interdisciplinary effort.
• Strong knowledge of regional integration and social and economic structural transformation in Africa.
