Pediatric Rehabilitation Specialist

We are seeking a per diem Physical Therapist for our Boston location. This is an opportunity to provide high-quality rehabilitation services to pediatric patients as part of an interdisciplinary team.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy and at least one to two years of experience in pediatric hospital-based settings. A Physical Therapist licensure in the state of MA is required.
Main Responsibilities:
• Completing comprehensive physical therapy assessments in alignment with department standards and guidelines for pediatric patients.
• Reviewing patient medical history and selecting, administering, and interpreting standardized and non-standardized tests and measurements to assess patients' functional status related to cardiopulmonary, developmental, musculoskeletal, neurological, and sensorimotor function.
• Developing and implementing individualized patient treatment programs.
• Establishing treatment goals and administering appropriate physical therapy procedures and modalities.
• Discharge planning and home treatment programs, and providing education to patients and families.
• Recommending orthotics, adaptive/assistive equipment, and technology for patients with complex, rare, or multiple dysfunctions.
• Liaising with equipment designers and vendors regarding equipment specifications and patient needs.
• Training patients, families, and caretakers in the use/operation of prescribed orthotics/equipment, monitoring and evaluating effectiveness, and initiating modifications as needed.
• Recording assessments, diagnoses, and treatment in patient medical records according to established documentation standards.
• Preparing reports, correspondence, referrals, and other materials for schools, providers, payers, and others as needed.
• Assigning standardized billing codes and corresponding charges required for reimbursement.
Key Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy
• At least one to two years of experience in pediatric hospital-based settings preferred
• Physical Therapist licensure in the state of MA
